The 234 acres of rolling Kettle Moraine hills, valleys and meadows provide many panoramic views, miles of hiking trails and picnic opportunities. Park Amenities • Picnic Area with views of Holy Hill • Playground Equipment • Portable Restrooms • Hiking Trails • 1 Reservable Shelter • Disc Golf • Mountain Bike Trails __________________________________________ HISTORY: In 2017, the Natural Resource Department identified the development of mountain bike trails at Heritage Trails County Park as a priority in the “Parks Fiscal Sustainability Plan.” Metro Mountain Bikers is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to sustainable trail riding. Their volunteer staff maintains over 30 miles of trails in the greater Milwaukee area, contributing more than 5,000 hours annually. Metro’s mission is to provide healthy outdoor recreational opportunities for all communities in Southeast Wisconsin by building new mountain bike trails and expanding trail access. Construction of the mountain bike trails began in late spring/early summer of 2021. Experienced trail builders from MMB led groups of community volunteers in this project.
